I don’t know about you, but it always seems to me that people, including myself, are afraid to make an apartment a home because it is often not a permanent residence. It seems scary and pointless to do things like paint, decorate, and really make the space livable and comfortable because you’re just going to have to paint it all back once you leave and who knows if everything will look good somewhere else! Well, stop fearing and start doing! My fiance just recently moved into a new apartment with his roommate, and it will be the home we live in once we are married. So, naturally, since currently just two bachelors reside in the space, it lacks furniture, personality, livability and comfort. It consisted of computers, desks, beds, and……food :) So, I set out to make it a HOME. Continue reading

It’s Mother’s Day!
Today is a special day….it’s Mother’s Day! I am so thankful for my mom and all she has done for me. My mom has been such a wonderful example of what it means to be a kind and caring woman, loving and faithful wife, devoted and hardworking, as well as selfless and humble. She has always made our family feel special, taking the time to ask us how our days are, take care of us, create fun traditions and lending a listening ear when days were tough. I had the privilage of having my mom as my English teacher for two years in high school, which I’m sure most would dread, however my mom was a great teacher and never made it miserable for me lol. Actually, I rarely got called on…even if I raised my hand :) but really, I loved that she got to know my classmates and friends, spend time with me every day, and do what she loves. My mom deserves to be told how wonderful she is every day!
Mom’s are so special, they give us life, they make us soup when we have a bad day, they give advice and listen, and teach us things we would never learn from anyone else. Sometimes it is easy to forget to tell her you love her, or forget to give her a call or text here and there. But even when life gets busy, your mom loves you, and you love her! Don’t forget to tell your mother how much you lover her on this special day!! Thank her for all she has done and continues to do!
THANK YOU MOM! I LOVE YOU!
Product Review: L’oreal Paris Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer
I bought the Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer a few months ago, I had heard some good things about it and thought I would try it out! This product goes on underneath your foundation to even out your skin, create a luminous appearance, and give a natural dewey look. I had heard about it on a blog I follow, Chisel Beauty, and wanted to see what it was like. I have always been a fan or the dewey look, it gives that subtle glow without being too shimmery, so I was intrigued to find out if this worked or not. I bought it at my local drug store for around $12, which seemed a bit steep for what it is…but I really wanted to try it. Continue reading
